NIRA - Robotics & AI solution
NIRA is an in-situ modular solution for remotely monitoring environmental conditions of ocean and providing data feedback to the decision makers in near real time using terrestrial or satellite communications. The system consists of three components:
Smart buoy
The Smart Buoy provides power to the Sonde and transmits the collected data to the cloud. It will also collect some surface data in the near future.
The Umbilical
The Umbilical transfers power and data between the Smart Buoy and Sonde. It also provides mechanical linkage between the units and farm mounting point. The length of the Umbilical can vary according to your site.
Sonde
The Sonde collects water quality data from the seaweed farm. Most of the data is recorded by this unit, situated at the depth of the seaweed. Readings are taken at regular intervals and transferred via the umbilical to the Smart Buoy for transfer to the cloud.
